It was back in April 2021 right as the world room was coming out from under the darkness of lockdown when Shadow and Bone hit Netflix. A story about light, darkness and evil forces, the series was able to capture the mood of its viewers perfectly with just a hint of intrigue. The series released a new trailer on 17 February.

The upcoming season 2 will follow both books, Siege and Storm as well as the final in the trilogy, Ruin and Rising.
This season will follow Alina's journey as she attempts to master her powers and save her home in a world where Kirigan has unleashed a wave of shadow across Ravka. The trailer shows a common theme of sacrifice and the term "what is most dear to you" repeated in one form or another. Alima will.be seeking amplifiers for her power with the help of new allies, a privateer prince Nikolai Lantsov, Alina and Mal.
The series is slated to be released on 16 March 2023.
