The Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) charity released a video showing Palestinians digging by hand to recover bodies buried in the sand after the attack.

Mohammed Aghaalkurdi, a member of the charity at Nasser Hospital, expressed the overwhelming tragedy: "I don’t know what to say, the situation is a tragedy. I am not exaggerating, we have a funeral every 15 minutes leaving the hospital. This has been ongoing since the incident. One by one, people are getting killed."

The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate. The Gaza health ministry reports that at least 80 Palestinians have been killed and 216 injured in the past 24 hours. Since the conflict escalated on October 7, more than 38,664 Palestinians have been killed and 89,097 wounded. The continuous influx of casualties has pushed hospitals, including Nasser and Amal hospitals in Khan Younis and the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah, to their limits, leaving them unable to receive more wounded people.

Compounding the humanitarian crisis is the collapse of waste infrastructure in northern Gaza due to nine months of war. Heaps of rubbish and waste have reached alarming levels, leading to the rapid spread of disease. This situation is putting additional pressure on the already besieged hospitals, exacerbating the dire conditions faced by the Palestinian people.

The tragic events in Gaza underscore the urgent need for international intervention and support to address the severe humanitarian crisis and provide relief to the suffering population.
